Educational Consulting For 25 years, literacy instruction has been the focus of Dr. Parker’s career, which has spanned the entire spectrum from kindergarten to graduate school. She graduated from Loma Linda University with as B.S., and Tennessee State University with a Master’s and a Doctorate in Education. She now teaches graduate school at Tennessee State University. The public school system in Nashville, Tennessee uses Dr. Parker’s literacy model that was developed from research supported by the National Reading Panel. She is certified by the State of Tennessee for teaching elementary grades and also English as a Second Language. Dr. Parker regularly presents at conferences and also serves as a Migrant Education Curriculum Consultant for the State of Tennessee. Dr. Parker’s life work is well suited to the challenges of developing high quality curricula for developing countries.

Dr. Parker is a member of International Reading Association (IRA), and the Teachers of English to Students of Other Language.
